The Peruvian DPA (Autoridad Nacional de Protección de Datos Personales – ANPD) within the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights, has published its 2022 Annual Report where we can read that the ANPD initiated 128 disciplinary procedures, held debates before about 10,000 individuals, and registered 2,808 personal data banks. The fines imposed amounted to a total of ca. SOL 8m, equivalent to ca. EUR 2m. Some of the fines were paid with expedited procedure which grants a 40% reduction a the fined entity, while other fines have still to be collected, are under execution procedure, or the related decisions were appealed.
