Emmely Schaaphok is a member of the Intellectual Property, IT, and Media practice group at the Amsterdam office of Van Diepen van der Kroef. She made a deliberate choice to focus on these areas of law early in her career. She completed a Bachelor’s degree in IT Law at the University of Groningen, followed by a Master’s degree in Internet, IP & ICT Law at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. This educational background provides a solid foundation for her specialized practice.
Emmely handles litigation and provides advice on a wide range of issues involving intellectual property, IT, media, and privacy law. Her practice is broad and dynamic, yet characterized by a keen eye for technological and creative interests. She focuses particularly on disputes and advisory work regarding copyright, trademark law, software contracts, online content, and data protection. Her clients include entrepreneurs, creative professionals, and organizations in the tech and media sectors.
In addition to her professional work, Emmely is a member of the International Association of Young Lawyers, the Dutch Association for Information Technology Law, and the Association for Intellectual Property. In her spare time, she enjoys photography and traveling; she is also a regular at the gym and likes going for runs in Amsterdam’s Vondelpark.
