Alexander Mollan has a three-pronged practice. He focuses primarily on technology and digitization, advising start-ups to listed companies on opportunities and issues pertaining to commercial IT contracts, cyber security, licensing, cloud services, and tender preparation and negotiations in connection with major IT projects.
Alexander also assists with issues concerning corporate law and transactions, particularly transactions for tech companies.
Within the sphere of regulatory work and compliance, Alexander counsels clients on privacy, information security, corporate social responsibility, ESG, and regulatory issues pertaining to the gambling industry. He also has good knowledge of EU/EEA law and competition law.
Alexander has previously been seconded to one of the world’s leading IT companies, where he assisted with the preparation of tender documents, negotiations, drafting, reviewing, and revising IT contracts, and other matters regarding public procurement and privacy. He participated in the development of the Norwegian Digitalisation Agency’s standard agreement for cloud services (SSA-Sky). Alexander also holds the prestigious CIPP/E certification and has been a data protection officer for one of Norway’s fastest-growing technology companies.
Alexander is ranked as a “Rising Star” within the field of Technology, Media, and Telecommunications by the renowned ranking firm Legal 500. He is also ranked by Who’s Who Legal in the category of Sports and Gaming, as one of only two Norwegian lawyers in this category.
