According to TechCrunch, a healthcare startup named myNurse, will shut down at the end of May due to a data breach exposing its users’ personal data.The breach was discovered on March 7 and consisted of an unauthorized individual accessing the app’s data. Demographic, health, and financial information were accessed, including medical histories, diagnoses, lab test results and health insurance information.
According to myNurse the decision to shutter the business “is unrelated to the data security incident” but did not provide any additional reason. Read more
