The French Data Protection Authority, the Commission nationale de l’informatique et des libertés (CNIL), publishes a reminder on the entry into force of new standard contractual clauses (SCCs) for data transfers outside the EU as of Dec. 27. The publication stresses that data exporters and importers will no longer be able to use the old standard contractual clauses of the European Commission and will have to either use the clauses updated in 2021 or use another transfer tools.
