The Frenc DPA (CNIL) has fined DISCORD INC. 800,000 euros for not complying with GDPR. In particular, the company was violating the data retention and security requirements. Read more on the CNIL’s press release here
After a long and debated investigation, US authorities ascertained that Google was tacking users’ locations even under opt-out selection. For this reason, Google has now settled to $391.5m with 40 states to resolve the investigation. Read more on The Guardian
